History Established in 1980

In 1980, after recognizing a local need for a shipping supply distributor, Liz and Dick Uihlein started Uline from their basement. Their first product was the H-101 carton sizer (still offered today). It sold far beyond their expectations and encouraged the Uihleins to add more products to the catalog the following year.

Uline has steadily grown and continues to be a family owned and run business. The product line has expanded to include industrial and packaging materials, including over 850 shipping box sizes alone. The 384-page Uline catalog reaches businesses nationwide, offering thousands of products with quick delivery.

Today, with over 2, 000 employees nationwide, Uline has distribution centers near Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN; Allentown, PA; Los Angeles, CA; Atlanta, GA; and Dallas, TX. I have over 3,000 positive feedbacks and not a single neg on ebay, partly because of my shipping policies. I always offer multiple shipping options, including the cheapest, which is usually Parcel Post, but often Media Mail - if it's books, CDs, DVDs or computer software, Media Mail rocks.
But you cannot buy Media Mail or Parcel Post postage online at the USPS website. You can, through Endicia.com, but they have a monthly fee.
It's been a long time since I used any of the shipping methods that the USPS is promoting by offering discounts.
I set my auctions to close on Saturday and I make a weekly trip to the P

Lotta trees are killed. I noticed yesterday that Wal-Mart receives merchandise in boxes that [literally] say: "RE-USE THIS BOX; IT IS INVENTORY"
try to buy things in person if you can ... sometimes its tough if you're not in a big metro area or if the item you want is hard to find, etc.
